Here is another gift I am planning for teacher's on my team! It is made with 7" block of 2x4. My husband cut several of them for me. He also drilled holes 1/2" apart with a drill bit that is the size of a pencil. I then sanded it, spray painted it black and let it dry. It went really fast!I then cut out the school name and mascot using amazing vinyl. (White and Real Red) Applied the vinyl, wrapped a ribbon and voila - a cute gift!
